The Black Panther Design Lab Cherry Bomb is a distinctive four-piece shell pack built around cherry wood shells, combining a striking Rose Burst finish with Black Brushed Hardware and a carefully tailored shell construction across the kit.
With different shell thicknesses used across the bass drum, rack tom and floor toms, alongside SONIClear bearing edges, Sonic Saver hoops and Master Tune lugs, the Cherry Bomb brings together a focused set of premium Mapex features in a versatile 22", 12", 14" and 16" configuration.
Black Panther Design Lab Features
Cherry Wood Shells
The Cherry Bomb uses cherry wood shells throughout the kit, with different ply configurations selected for the individual drums. The 22" bass drum and 16" floor tom feature 8-ply shells, while the 12" rack tom and 14" floor tom use 6-ply construction.
SONIClear Bearing Edges
Mapex SONIClear bearing edges are used throughout the Cherry Bomb, with a 60° edge on the bass drum and 45° edges across the rack tom and floor toms.
2.3mm Sonic Saver Hoops
The toms are fitted with 2.3mm Sonic Saver hoops, forming part of the Cherry Bomb's premium hardware specification and giving the kit a distinctive Black Panther Design Lab appearance.
Master Tune Lugs
Master Tune lugs are fitted throughout the kit, complementing the Black Brushed Hardware and completing the clean, refined Design Lab aesthetic.
Remo Drum Heads
The Cherry Bomb is factory fitted with Remo drum heads, giving the kit a quality playing surface straight out of the box.
