Our Beginnings
From Graham’s garage to Fareham
Graham and Haley Russell founded the business in 2003, initially running it from Graham’s garage. Graham has played drums for over 35 years and toured Europe and America with numerous bands, including Bristol-based band The Blue Aeroplanes. What began as a home-based hobby soon established itself as a reputable and reliable specialist drum shop.
In 2012, Graham Russell Drums moved into the current showroom at Axis Park in Fareham. More than 20 years after the business began, the same enthusiasm for great gear, fair prices and properly informed advice still shapes everything we do.
Visit Fareham
A drum shop built to be explored
Our showroom has been described as drum heaven by our community of drummers. Across two floors, there is room to see, play and properly compare the gear. We offer complimentary tea or coffee for anyone spending time in-store, along with a sofa and magazines for non-drummers who have joined the trip.
Playable drum displays
Explore dedicated Yamaha and Tama displays, a large playable selection from DW, Ludwig and Sonor, plus a dedicated beginner drum kit section.
New and pre-owned gear
Our cymbal wall runs the length of the warehouse, while our constantly changing pre-owned selection includes drum kits, snares, cymbals, hardware and pedals, percussion and cases.
Advice From Players
Helpful, honest and never commission-led
We are a small team of drummers with extensive live and studio experience. Because nobody works on commission, the advice you receive is focused on what suits you rather than what suits a sales target.
