Built from Remo’s classic single-ply 10mil Ambassador film, this 18" Coated drum head incorporates Sub Muff’l Technology (SMT) for controlled sustain and a focused tonal response. The externally mounted dampening profile with free-floating acoustic foam reduces unwanted overtones while preserving natural shell resonance and low-end depth.

The coated surface delivers a warmer, slightly drier character compared to clear heads, helping to tame high frequencies while maintaining punch and clarity. Ideal for floor tom use, the Ambassador SMT Coated produces a short, bass drum-like response with excellent tuning range for live performance and studio recording.
