Constructed from Remo’s classic single-ply 10mil Ambassador film, this 16" Coated drum head features Sub Muff’l Technology (SMT) for built-in overtone control and a focused, punchy response. The externally mounted dampening profile with free-floating acoustic foam reduces excessive sustain while preserving the drum’s natural resonance and low-end presence.

The coated finish delivers a warmer, slightly drier tonal character compared to clear heads, with controlled highs and balanced mids. Ideal for floor tom applications, the Ambassador SMT Coated provides a short, bass drum-like response while maintaining sensitivity and tuning flexibility for live and studio use.
