Information

The DW Design Series Limited Edition 22" 6-Piece Drum Kit, Natural Mapa Burl is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

For the first time, DW brings a premium Exotic veneer to the Design Series with this limited edition shell pack. Highly figured Mapa Burl covers 8-ply European birch shells, finished in an understated natural matte lacquer that showcases the wood’s distinctive grain. The six-piece configuration includes 10" and 12" rack toms, 14" and 16" floor toms, an undrilled 22" bass drum and a matching 14" x 6.5" snare drum.

DW’s patented HVLT (Horizontal Vertical Low Timbre) grain-orientation technology helps these birch shells deliver a pronounced attack, a warm, punchy fundamental and controlled resonance. This combination offers definition and body across a variety of playing situations, from recording sessions to live performances.

Low-mass mini-turret lugs, graduated triple-flange hoops and True-Pitch tuning provide the fittings and adjustment expected from the Design Series. STM (Suspension Tom Mounts) support the rack toms while allowing the shells to resonate freely, and Remo heads complete the setup. A two-piece bass drum pillow set is also included for controlling bass drum sustain.
