Information

The DW Performance Series Limited Edition 22" 4-Piece Drum Kit, Black Oyster is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Limited to just 125 kits worldwide, this special edition brings Black Oyster FinishPly™ to DW’s USA-made Performance Series. The four-piece configuration features 10x8" and 12x9" rack toms, a 16x14" floor tom and an undrilled 22x18" bass drum, combining a versatile two-up, one-down layout with a distinctive finish.

The tom and bass drum shells feature 8-ply, 100% North American Hard Rock Maple construction, built using DW’s patented HVX™ shell technology. This combination of horizontal, vertical and diagonal grain orientations produces low, punchy and warm fundamental tones. The rack and floor toms feature precision-cut 45-degree back-cut bearing edges, providing a defined contact point for the drumhead that supports a clear attack and responsive playing feel. The bass drum uses a 60-degree back-cut bearing edge. These carefully formed edges provide a consistent seating surface for the heads, supporting even tuning and allowing the maple shells’ tonal character to come through.

Professional fittings include STM (Suspension Tom Mounts), which allow the rack toms to sustain freely, alongside quarter-sized turret lugs and graduated triple-flange hoops. True-Pitch® tension rods provide fine tuning adjustment, while matching maple bass drum hoops and low-mass claw hooks complete the kit.
