The Yamaha SS8W is a heavy-duty, double-braced snare stand for drummers who want a particularly solid foundation beneath their main snare drum. Its robust leg design and oversized rubber feet help keep the stand planted, making it a strong choice for regular gigging, louder playing and heavier snare drums.

Yamaha’s Ball Clamp Tilter offers highly flexible basket positioning, allowing you to set both the playing angle and strainer position precisely. Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber helps reduce direct energy transfer from the snare shell to the stand, allowing the drum to resonate more naturally, while the basket adjustment knob gives a secure fit for 13" and 14" snares.

The SS8W adjusts from 41–54cm, combining a lower playing range with the stability expected from Yamaha’s heavier hardware options.
