The Yamaha CH8S is a compact cymbal boom holder for adding a cymbal in tighter areas of the kit. Rather than a full floor stand, it is designed to attach to compatible hardware, making it useful for placing splashes, stacks and small effects cymbals without taking up more floor space.

Its 17cm short boom and 43–55cm telescoping height range allow close, controlled positioning. A Step Free Tilter gives smooth, continuous cymbal-angle adjustment, while the hinged boom tilter clamp grips from three sides for a secure hold. The CH8S also includes Yamaha’s QRN8 Quick Release Nut for faster cymbal changes and the SECW8 Sound Enhancement Cymbal Washer, which offers two support options for altering cymbal response.
