Information

The Tama Starclassic Walnut Birch 22" Drum Kit, Piano Black is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Combining the focused attack of birch with the warmth and low-end body of American black walnut, this Starclassic delivers a punchy, full sound with clear definition. The toms feature 6mm shells constructed from four plies of birch and two inner plies of walnut, while the bass drum uses a thicker 8mm construction with five plies of birch and two inner plies of walnut.

This four-piece configuration features a 22" x 16" bass drum, 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" rack toms, and a 16" x 14" floor tom. The Piano Black lacquer finish is complemented by chrome shell hardware for a clean, classic appearance. An MTH1000 double tom holder is included, mounting both rack toms directly above the bass drum with flexible positioning to suit your setup.

Die-cast tom hoops support consistent tuning and a defined attack, while the Star-Cast mounting system allows the rack toms to resonate freely. Quick-Lock brackets make setting up and packing down straightforward, retaining your positioning between sessions. Air-cushioned floor tom feet help preserve sustain, with Evans G2 clear tom batter heads and an EQ4 clear bass drum batter head completing the package.
