The Dyna-Sync HPDS1TW represents Tama’s flagship direct drive double bass drum pedal, designed for maximum speed, articulation and precision. Unlike the Iron Cobra and Speed Cobra ranges, which use chain drive systems, the Dyna-Sync employs a direct drive linkage for an immediate and highly responsive feel with minimal latency between footboard movement and beater impact.

At the core of the HPDS1TW is the Dyna-Sync Direct Drive Cam, engineered to provide both acceleration and control. Its cam profile increases leverage toward the end of the stroke, delivering powerful impact while maintaining exceptional rebound speed. The direct linkage system offers an ultra-connected feel that suits technical and high-speed playing styles.

The pedal features Tama’s Dual Linkage adjustable direct drive system, allowing players to fine-tune the cam and footboard relationship for personalised response. This makes the Dyna-Sync one of the most adjustable direct drive pedals in Tama’s lineup.

Precision components ensure smooth, consistent operation. The Oiles® Bearing Hinge reduces friction and eliminates lateral play for long-term reliability. The Speedo-Ring rocker cam, equipped with a built-in ball bearing, further enhances fluid motion. Combined with the Swivel Spring Tight mechanism, which maintains a straight spring pull throughout the stroke, the pedal delivers controlled and efficient action across both beaters.

The double pedal includes a lightweight, reinforced connecting rod, designed for smooth adjustment and stable performance across varying lengths. The system maintains consistent feel between primary and secondary pedals, ensuring balanced response on both sides.

The Vari-Pitch Beater Holder allows independent adjustment of beater and footboard angles, while the Control Core beaters provide a balanced combination of attack, durability and vibration control.

Stability is reinforced by the wide-frame construction and the secure Para-Clamp II Pro hoop clamp system, which grips a wide variety of bass drum hoops without damaging them. An integrated spring tension adjustment dial allows for precise and repeatable setup.
