The Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide is engineered for maximum power, speed and precision. At its core is Tama’s Power Glide cam, an offset cam design that increases leverage as the beater approaches the drumhead. This creates greater power and acceleration at the end of each stroke, delivering a punchy, articulate attack that suits heavier playing styles and fast passages alike.

The pedal is fitted with the lightweight Power Glide LiteSprocket, reducing cam weight for improved response and smoother action. The Power-Strike Cobra beater enhances attack and control, while the Cobra Coil steel spring assists the footboard’s return for quicker rebound and a more connected feel underfoot.

Precision and durability are central to the 900 Series design. The Oiles® Bearing Hinge minimises friction and eliminates unwanted side-to-side movement, and the Speedo-Ring rocker cam incorporates a built-in ball bearing to further smooth pedal action. The Swivel Spring Tight mechanism ensures a straight spring pull throughout the stroke, delivering consistent, light movement across all dynamics.

For adjustability, the Vari-Pitch Beater Holder allows independent adjustment of beater and footboard angle, enabling fine-tuning without compromise. The Para-Clamp II Pro securely grips a wide variety of bass drum hoops, while the redesigned lightweight connecting rod ensures smooth adjustment and prevents separation during length changes.

A wide-frame Super Stabilizer reduces lateral sway during aggressive playing, and the Hinge Guard Block two-piece assembly holds the bearing evenly in place for long-term smooth operation and reliability.
