Information
The Mapex Black Panther 14" x 6.5" Persuader Hammered Brass Snare Drum is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.
The Persuader is built around a 1.2mm hammered brass shell, giving it a powerful, dark and authoritative voice with plenty of punch and projection. Its 14" x 6.5" dimensions add extra body and depth, while the hammered shell construction helps introduce a more complex and controlled response.
Mapex pairs the brass shell with rolled SONIClear™ bearing edges, Sonic Saver hoops, quad venting and premium Black Panther hardware, creating a snare designed to deliver a strong fundamental tone, crisp articulation and a commanding presence across a wide range of playing styles.
Black Panther Features
1.2mm Hammered Brass Shell
The Persuader uses a 1.2mm hammered brass shell to produce a powerful, full-bodied sound with a darker tonal character and strong projection.
Rolled SONIClear™ Bearing Edges
Rolled SONIClear™ bearing edges are used on both sides of the shell, with a 45° batter-side edge and 35° snare-side edge to provide consistent head contact and a balanced response.
Quad Vented Chamber
A quad-vented shell helps shape the feel and response of the drum while contributing to the Persuader's focused, controlled and powerful character.
Sonic Saver Hoops
Mapex Sonic Saver hoops help focus the drum's response while retaining a solid playing feel and strong rim-shot projection.
In-Line Locking Lugs
In-line locking lugs provide secure tuning stability while complementing the clean, modern Black Panther hardware design.
Cylinder Drive Strainer & Microlock Adjustment
The Black Panther Cylinder Drive snare strainer and matching butt-end adjuster provide smooth operation and precise wire tension control, with Microlock adjustment helping prevent the setting from loosening during play.
2.3mm Snare Bed
A 2.3mm snare bed helps provide consistent wire contact and a controlled, articulate snare response across a wide dynamic range.
Remo USA Ambassador Heads
The Persuader is factory fitted with Remo USA Ambassador heads, giving the drum a professional-quality playing surface straight out of the box.
Antique Black Nickel Finish
The Antique Black Nickel plated finish gives the Persuader a dark, distinctive appearance that matches its powerful and authoritative tonal character.
