The Mapex Black Panther 14" x 6" Heritage Maple Snare Drum is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.
Built around a thin 5-ply, 5mm maple shell with 4-ply walnut reinforcement rings, the Heritage combines a classic maple snare construction with a slightly darker tonal character. Its 14" x 6" dimensions provide a balanced mix of body, sensitivity and projection across a wide tuning range.
The Heritage pairs its maple and walnut shell construction with Mapex SONIClear bearing edges, Sonic Saver hoops and the BP Cylinder Drive strainer system, creating a versatile snare with a traditional foundation and modern Black Panther hardware.
Thin Maple Shell with Walnut Reinforcement Rings
The 5-ply, 5mm maple shell provides an open and responsive foundation, while the 4-ply, 4mm walnut reinforcement rings add structural support and contribute a slightly darker character to the overall sound.
SONIClear Bearing Edges
SONIClear bearing edges use a 45° batter-side and 35° snare-side profile, helping the heads seat consistently while supporting tuning stability, response and snare sensitivity.
Triple-Vented Chamber
The triple-vented shell design helps regulate airflow through the drum, contributing to a controlled and responsive playing feel.
Sonic Saver Hoops
Mapex Sonic Saver hoops provide a solid playing feel with strong rimshots and cross-sticks while allowing the drum to retain an open and responsive character.
