The Mapex Artist Collection Aquiles Priester Signature 'Psychoctopus' 14" x 8" Maple/Padauk Snare Drum is a substantial signature model developed for the progressive and power metal drummer’s powerful playing style. Its extra-deep dimensions and dense maple/padauk hybrid shell produce a full-bodied sound with plenty of low-end weight, volume and focused projection.

The 11-ply shell measures 11mm thick, helping the drum remain controlled and articulate when played hard. Mapex SONIClear 45-degree bearing edges allow the drumheads to sit consistently against the shell, supporting reliable tuning and a broad usable tuning range. Four carefully positioned airflow vents further shape the feel and resonance.

Sonic Saver hoops, In-Line Locking B-Lugs and a Cylinder-Drive strainer provide a strong and precise hardware setup. The matte Gun Metal Grey finish is paired with Black Brushed hardware and Aquiles Priester’s distinctive three-dimensional 'Psychoctopus' badge.
