The Mapex Black Panther 13" x 7" Hydro Maple Snare Drum is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.
The Hydro combines a compact 13" diameter with a deep 7" shell, giving it a distinctive balance of quick response, depth and punch. Built around a 6-ply, 5.1mm Maple shell with 4-ply Walnut reinforcement rings, it delivers a dark and powerful voice with plenty of body while retaining the articulation associated with a smaller-diameter snare.
SONIClear™ bearing edges, Sonic Saver hoops, triple shell venting and premium Black Panther hardware complete the specification, giving the Hydro a controlled yet responsive feel across a wide tuning range. Finished in Flat Black Transparent Lacquer, it combines a bold appearance with a versatile modern snare sound.

Maple Shell with Walnut Reinforcement Rings
The Hydro features a 6-ply, 5.1mm Maple shell combined with 4-ply, 4.0mm Walnut reinforcement rings, adding depth and focus while retaining the responsive character of the Maple shell.
SONIClear™ Bearing Edges
SONIClear™ bearing edges are used on both sides of the shell, with a 45° batter-side edge and 35° snare-side edge for consistent head contact, reliable tuning and a balanced response.
Triple Vented Chamber
Three shell vents help shape the feel and resonance of the Hydro, contributing to its open response while maintaining a controlled and focused overall sound.
Sonic Saver Hoops
