The Mapex 13" x 5.5" Black Panther Cherry Bomb Design Lab Snare Drum is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.
The Cherry Bomb combines an 8mm, 8-ply Cherry wood shell with a compact 13" x 5.5" configuration, producing a warm, focused and punchy snare sound with plenty of character. The naturally controlled response of the Cherry shell gives the drum a distinctly dry and articulate voice that works particularly well for rock and alternative styles.
45° SONIClear bearing edges are used on both the batter and resonant sides, helping the heads seat consistently against the shell for reliable tuning and a clear fundamental pitch. A 2.7mm deep, 5.5" graduated snare bed further controls the response, helping the wires remain sensitive while retaining the Cherry Bomb's dry, focused character.
The specification is completed by Sonic Saver hoops, double-ended tube lugs, dual shell venting and a Black Panther Cylinder-Drive strainer system. Puresound P1416 16-strand stainless steel snare wires provide a responsive and articulate snare sound across a wide dynamic range.
