Information

The Ludwig Classic Maple Downbeat 20" Drum Kit, Champagne Sparkle is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

The Classic Maple Downbeat brings Ludwig’s warm, expressive maple sound to a compact three-piece configuration. Featuring a 20" x 14" bass drum, 12" x 8" rack tom and 14" x 14" floor tom, this kit offers a balanced combination of punch, clarity and resonance. The Champagne Sparkle finish gives it a timeless appearance that complements its classic proportions.

Crafted in Monroe, North Carolina, the 7-ply North American maple shells deliver a sensitive response, clear attack and a wide tuning range. Ludwig’s Radio Frequency Shell Technology and cross-lamination process help ensure even curing throughout each shell, while hand-sanded 45-degree bearing edges provide accurate head contact and support sustain and harmonic detail.

The toms feature 2.3mm triple-flanged steel hoops, while maple bass drum hoops with matching Champagne Sparkle inlays complete the kit’s classic appearance. From articulate playing at lower volumes to fuller, more powerful performances, the responsive maple shells offer plenty of scope to shape your sound for recording, rehearsals and live work.
