The Agop Signature series was the final creation of Istanbul Agop's founder, master cymbalsmith Agop Tomurcuk, completed posthumously from a personal notebook built up over decades of making cymbals for some of the world's most acclaimed jazz drummers. It carries the series' raw lathing and green logo, Agop's own favourite colour, and represents his cymbal-making philosophy distilled into its purest form.

At 20 inches and medium-thin in weight, this ride is dark, dry and intricately complex, with real warmth sitting underneath that dryness rather than sounding harsh or one-dimensional. The rawer lathing on the inner bow widens the spread of the sticking articulation, giving a tempered but genuinely complex wash beneath a dry, well-defined stick attack. It carries what Istanbul Agop describes as mellow crashability: the dryness keeps it from opening up fully like a dedicated crash, but there's enough give in the thin construction to crash convincingly when you need it, particularly suited to smaller to medium venues and jazz, funk and fusion contexts where subtlety and tone matter more than raw power.
