The Iron Cobra 900 Series has long been recognised as one of the benchmark chain drive bass drum pedals in professional drumming. The HP900PN Power Glide single pedal is engineered for drummers who demand speed, power and precision in a highly refined, tour-ready design.

At the heart of this pedal is Tama’s Power Glide cam, an offset cam profile that increases leverage toward the end of each stroke. This design delivers additional punch and acceleration just before impact, resulting in a powerful and articulate attack that suits heavier playing styles while retaining control at lower dynamics.

The Power Glide LiteSprocket reduces cam weight compared to previous generations, improving response and creating a smoother, faster feel underfoot. Combined with the Power-Strike Cobra beater, the HP900PN produces a focused, aggressive strike with excellent control during fast passages.

The pedal incorporates Tama’s Cobra Coil, a steel return spring positioned beneath the footboard to assist rebound and enhance responsiveness. Precision components such as the Oiles® Bearing Hinge minimise friction and eliminate unwanted side-to-side motion, ensuring long-term smooth operation.

Further refinements include the Speedo-Ring rocker cam, which uses an integrated ball bearing to reduce resistance, and the Swivel Spring Tight mechanism, allowing the spring to pull in a straight line for consistent motion throughout the stroke.

For adjustability, the Vari-Pitch Beater Holder allows independent adjustment of beater and footboard angle, enabling precise setup without compromise. The Para-Clamp II Pro securely grips a wide range of bass drum hoops while protecting the finish, and the wide-frame Super Stabilizer design reduces lateral movement for efficient performance under heavy playing.
