The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch 5pc Shell Pack in Smoked Silver Sparkle is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums!

The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch series combines the focused attack and projection of birch with the warmer, fuller character of American Black Walnut, resulting in a versatile hybrid shell sound with plenty of punch, depth and clarity. Tama’s Walnut/Birch shells are designed to balance definition with a warmer overall response, making the kit equally comfortable in live and studio settings.

This configuration features a 22"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" rack toms, plus 14"x12" and 16"x14" floor toms. The combination of shallower rack toms and two floor toms provides a broad tuning range while keeping the kit comfortable to position around the player. Two MC69 Single Tom Attachments are also included for flexible rack tom mounting.

Finished in Smoked Silver Sparkle, the kit has a classic sparkle appearance with a darker, more understated character, complementing the professional construction and hardware found throughout the Starclassic range.

The rack toms feature Tama’s Star-Cast Mounting System, designed to minimise restriction of the shell while providing secure and flexible positioning. Quick-Lock Tom Brackets help make setup and breakdown faster while retaining previous positioning, and the floor toms use Tama’s Air Cushioned feet to help reduce vibration transfer into the floor.

Tama also equips Starclassic drums with die-cast hoops for a solid, controlled feel and precise tuning, alongside Evans drumheads, including clear two-ply G2 batter heads on the toms and an EQ4 clear batter head on the bass drum.
