Information

The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch 3pc Drum Kit in Vintage Champagne Sparkle is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums!

The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch combines the clear, defined attack of birch with the warmer low and mid frequencies of American Black Walnut, creating a versatile hybrid shell construction with plenty of punch, depth and tonal character. The tom and floor tom shells feature 4 plies of birch with 2 inner plies of American Black Walnut at 6mm thick, while the bass drum uses a thicker 5-ply birch and 2-ply American Black Walnut 8mm shell.

This configuration features a compact-depth 22"x14" bass drum, alongside a 12"x8" rack tom and 16"x16" floor tom. The shallower 14" bass drum depth gives the kit a more traditional profile while retaining the substantial low end expected from a full-size 22" kick. An MC69 Single Tom Attachment is also included, allowing the rack tom to be conveniently mounted from a cymbal stand.

Finished in the new Vintage Champagne Sparkle Duracover wrap, this kit combines a classic sparkle appearance with the modern construction and hardware found throughout the Starclassic Walnut/Birch range.

Tama's Star-Cast Mounting System allows the rack tom to resonate freely while offering flexible positioning, while Quick-Lock Tom Brackets make setup and breakdown quick and repeatable. Die-cast hoops provide a solid, controlled feel and precise tuning, while the floor tom benefits from Tama's Air Cushioned feet to help minimise vibration transfer into the floor.

The kit also comes fitted with Evans drumheads, including clear two-ply G2 batter heads on the toms and an EQ4 clear batter head on the bass drum, giving the kit a high-quality setup straight from the box.
