The Sonor Momentum Birch 8" x 7" Tom combines Sonor’s renowned German craftsmanship with a modern birch shell design focused on clarity, projection and tonal balance. Part of the new Momentum series, this tom is built using Sonor’s highly regarded 9-ply, 6mm birch shell construction, delivering a focused attack with excellent articulation and balanced sustain. The Scandinavian birch shell provides strong projection with clear lows and highs, making it particularly responsive and defined across a wide tuning range.

Finished in California Burl, the drum features a distinctive semi-gloss veneer originally developed for high-end furniture design, giving it a refined and contemporary appearance. Chrome hardware complements the darker veneer beautifully, while Sonor’s single lug design with TuneSafe technology helps maintain tuning stability and reduces shell contact for improved resonance. The drum is fitted with triple-flanged steel hoops for an open, musical response and uses Sonor’s acclaimed T.A.R. suspension mounting system to maximise shell vibration and sustain. As an 8" x 7" tom, it offers quick response, clear pitch definition and compact positioning within a setup.
