The Sonor Jost Nickel Signature is a deep, powerful 14-ply beech snare drum, developed in Germany with the drummer, teacher and author Jost Nickel. Its substantial 9mm beech shell delivers a full, balanced voice with a strong, cutting attack, which is why it works so well across everything from four-on-the-floor rock to open, dynamic jazz. The 6.25" depth gives it real body and volume, while 45 degree bearing edges, 2.3mm triple-flanged Power Hoops, TuneSafe double lugs and 24-strand wires keep it stable and easy to tune. Finished in piano black with Jost's signature silver sparkle stripe, it looks as individual as it sounds. In our experience it is one of the most versatile signature snare drums Sonor makes.
