Built on Remo’s classic single-ply 10mil Ambassador film, this Ebony bass drum head features Sub Muff’l Technology (SMT) — a pre-muffled design that delivers powerful, focused low end while maintaining natural shell resonance. The externally mounted dampening profile uses a free-floating acoustic foam ring to control overtones without choking the drum, preserving attack and depth.

The Ebony finish provides a dark aesthetic and slightly focused tonal character, with balanced mids, controlled highs and deep low frequencies. Ideal for live performance and studio recording, the SMT design offers a wide tuning range and a clean, punchy bass drum response without excessive internal dampening.
