The Mapex Saturn VI Studioease 22" Drum Kit, Royal Purple Burst is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.
The Saturn VI series combines Mapex's renowned Maple/Walnut hybrid shells with a versatile Studioease configuration designed to work equally well on stage or in the studio. The toms and floor toms use a 6-ply construction for warmth and sensitivity, while the 8-ply bass drum adds extra depth, punch and low-end presence.
Finished in a striking Royal Purple Burst high-gloss lacquered veneer with chrome hardware, this five-piece shell pack combines a versatile 22", 10", 12", 14" and 16" configuration with the refined construction and wide tuning range associated with the Saturn series.
Saturn VI Features
Maple/Walnut Hybrid Shells
The Saturn VI uses Mapex's Maple/Walnut hybrid shell construction, combining the warmth and depth of walnut with the clarity and response of maple for a balanced, musical sound.
Shell-Specific Construction
The rack toms and floor toms feature 6-ply, 6.15mm shells, while the 22" bass drum uses a thicker 8-ply, 7.55mm construction to provide additional punch and low-end authority.
SONIClear™ Bearing Edges
Mapex's SONIClear™ bearing-edge design allows the drumhead to sit flatter against the shell for improved head-to-shell contact, helping provide clearer tone, easier tuning and consistent response across a wide tuning range.
Triple-Flanged Power Hoops
Triple-flanged Power Hoops are fitted across the toms, providing a familiar playing feel while allowing the shells to retain an open and responsive character.
Royal Purple Burst Finish
The Royal Purple Burst high-gloss lacquered veneer is paired with chrome hardware, giving this Saturn VI a bold, premium appearance that complements its professional specification.
