The Saturn VI series blends modern construction with a warm, musical shell voice, and this Studioease configuration delivers a versatile setup that works equally well on stage or in the studio. Built using Mapex’s hybrid maple and walnut shell construction, the toms and floor toms feature a 6-ply build for warmth and sensitivity, while the 8-ply bass drum adds depth, punch, and low-end authority.

Mapex’s SONIClear™ bearing edge design allows the drumheads to sit flatter against the shell, improving head-to-shell contact for clearer tone, easier tuning, and excellent tuning stability across a wide tuning range. This makes the Saturn VI particularly forgiving to dial in, whether you’re after open resonance or a more focused, controlled sound.
