Built using Mapex’s hybrid maple and walnut shell construction, the toms and floor toms use a 6-ply build for warmth and responsiveness, while the 8-ply bass drum delivers added depth, punch, and low-end authority.

Mapex’s SONIClear™ bearing edge design allows the drumheads to sit flatter against the shell, improving head-to-shell contact for clearer tone, easier tuning, and excellent tuning stability across a wide range of pitches. This makes the Saturn VI particularly forgiving to tune, whether you prefer open, resonant tones or more controlled, focused sounds.
