The Yamaha Stage Custom Birch 18" x 15" bass drum is part of Yamaha’s long-standing Stage Custom series, a range known for delivering professional construction and tone at an accessible price point. Built from a 6-ply 100% birch shell, the drum produces a punchy, focused low end with excellent projection and definition. Birch is widely used in modern drum construction because of its strong attack and clear articulation, helping the bass drum cut through a mix while maintaining warmth and depth.

The shell is manufactured using Yamaha’s Air Seal System, ensuring consistent shell roundness and structural stability. Combined with the 45-degree bearing edges, this construction allows the drum to resonate freely while maintaining accurate tuning. The bass drum is finished in high-gloss Cranberry Red lacquer, paired with chrome hardware and matching wooden bass drum hoops for a classic Yamaha look.

Hardware details include die-cast claw hooks with rubber inserts to protect the hoops and reduce unwanted noise, along with bass drum spurs with integrated stoppers that help keep the drum firmly positioned during performance. The drum comes fitted with Remo drumheads, providing a reliable and musical starting point straight out of the box.
