The Yamaha SS740A Snare Drum Stand is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums!

The Yamaha SS740A is a medium-weight snare drum stand designed to provide dependable support while remaining easy to transport and quick to set up. It features a single-braced tripod leg design, keeping overall weight lower than heavier double-braced stands while still providing a stable platform for the drum. The stand uses a traditional three-arm snare basket with rubber-coated contact points to hold the drum securely while allowing the shell to resonate naturally without excessive dampening. The basket accommodates a wide range of snare sizes, typically from 10" to 14" diameter, making it suitable for most standard snare drums.

The stand provides straightforward mechanical adjustment so the drum can be positioned comfortably within a kit setup. The height adjustment range of approximately 45–61 cm allows players to set the drum at a variety of playing positions, while the basket’s tilter mechanism lets the drum angle be adjusted to suit different playing styles. The tripod base is fitted with large rubber feet, helping keep the stand stable on stage or rehearsal room floors, and the single-braced legs maintain a practical balance between portability and strength for regular gigging or practice use.
