Buy this Yamaha PHX 22" Drum Kit, Sapphire Gloss Over Ash from Graham Russell Drums.

The PHX, pronounced “Phoenix”, brings together Yamaha’s carefully developed shell construction and hardware designs. Its 11-ply hybrid shells combine a hard jatoba core with kapur and maple, finished with an outer ash ply. This construction is designed to produce a strong fundamental tone with the depth and projection needed for an expressive acoustic drum sound.

Yamaha’s YESS II mounting system allows the rack toms to resonate freely, while Hook Lugs are positioned to control unwanted shell overtones. The toms feature 3.0mm aluminium die-cast hoops, providing rigidity for accurate tuning without the weight of conventional zinc die-cast hoops.

Bearing edges are individually shaped to suit the different roles of the bass drum, rack toms and floor toms, helping balance attack and sustain across the kit. The Sapphire Gloss Over Ash finish highlights the wood’s natural figuring, giving these drums a distinctive appearance to match their detailed construction.

Floor tom legs and a tom holder are included.
