A key highlight is the 17" PCY175 3-zone ride cymbal pad with positional sensing, offering incredibly realistic dynamics and nuanced expression—closely replicating the articulation of an acoustic ride cymbal. All cymbal pads feature 3 zones (edge, bow, bell) and support choke functionality—just like real cymbals.

It includes over 700 factory sounds, captured in renowned studios with precise dynamics and natural room ambience. Players can also import up to 1,000 custom 24-bit WAV samples, making it easy to create a truly personalized electronic drum kit.

Every sound is fully editable, with tools like per-pad EQ, compression, and transient shaping. Outputs include 8 individual channels, stereo master, and USB audio, perfect for multitrack recording or flexible live setups.

Unique to the DTX-PROX module are Yamaha’s Kit Modifier knobs, designed for real-time sound shaping:
