The Tama S.L.P. G-Maple 14"x7" Snare Drum in Twilight Mappa Burl is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums!

Part of Tama’s S.L.P. (Sound Lab Project) series, this limited-edition G-Maple snare combines a substantial maple shell with a striking Mappa Burl outer ply, delivering both a distinctive appearance and a powerful, responsive sound.

At the heart of the drum is an 11mm shell constructed from 12 plies of Maple with an additional outer ply of Mappa Burl. This thicker shell construction is designed to produce a bright, articulate sound with increased volume and sensitivity, making it well suited to players looking for a strong, defined snare response.

The 14"x7" dimensions add plenty of body and depth, while 10-hole die-cast hoops provide a solid playing feel and help maintain consistent tuning. Tama’s MTL60 tube lugs complement the premium appearance of the shell, while the MLS50A strainer and MLS50B butt plate provide reliable snare adjustment.

The drum is fitted with 20-strand Starclassic Hi-Carbon snare wires, alongside an Evans G1 Coated batter head and Evans resonant snare-side head, giving it a high-quality setup straight from the box.

Finished in the stunning Twilight Mappa Burl, the natural figuring of the Mappa Burl outer ply gives the drum a premium, distinctive appearance that is complemented by the chrome hardware.
