This Remo 18” Classic Fit Powerstroke 3 Bass Drum Head is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Designed specifically for vintage and oversized bass drums, this head features Remo’s Classic Fit design, incorporating a slightly larger internal diameter and narrower flesh hoop to ensure proper seating on older shells with wrap overlap or out-of-round dimensions. It is constructed from a single ply of 10-mil coated film, providing a balanced feel and response.

The Powerstroke 3 construction includes an integrated 3-mil underlay dampening ring, positioned at the outer edge of the head to control unwanted overtones while retaining a full, resonant low-end. In use, this produces a focused bass drum sound with strong low-frequency punch, a controlled decay, and a slightly softened attack from the coated finish. It is widely used across live and studio settings, particularly where a controlled, mix-ready bass drum tone is required.
