The Paiste Signature Traditionals 17" Thin Crash is part of Paiste’s Signature Traditionals range, a series developed to recreate the dark, musical character associated with classic vintage cymbals. It is crafted from Paiste’s proprietary Signature Bronze alloy, which is known for delivering a rich blend of warmth, clarity and dynamic sensitivity. Each cymbal is hand hammered and hand lathed in Switzerland, giving the surface its distinctive texture and contributing to the complex, layered overtones that define the Signature Traditionals sound.

With its thin weight profile, the cymbal responds quickly with a dark, warm and expressive crash sound that opens up easily under lighter playing. The tone features a soft attack with a broad, complex wash and medium sustain, allowing the cymbal to breathe naturally in musical settings. The slightly larger diameter compared to the 16" version provides a little more depth and spread in the sound. This makes the 17" Thin Crash particularly well suited to jazz, blues, funk, soul, country and acoustic music, as well as recording environments where a darker crash tone is required.
