The Paiste Masters 20" Dark Ride is part of Paiste’s Masters series, a range designed to capture the complex, traditional sound of classic Turkish-style cymbals. It is made from CuSn20 bronze (B20 alloy) — approximately 80% copper and 20% tin — a material widely associated with darker, more complex cymbal tones. The cymbal is hand hammered, giving each piece subtle tonal variation and contributing to the rich overtone structure that defines the Masters range.

With a medium-thin weight, the Dark Ride offers a warm, dark and smoky tonal character with clear stick definition sitting over a soft, complex wash. Sustain is medium-long, and the bell produces a relatively integrated, low-pitched tone rather than an aggressive cutting bell. The cymbal is also highly crashable, making it a versatile choice for drummers looking for a ride that opens up dynamically.
