6-Ply Walnut Shell

The 5.1mm walnut shell gives the Goblin a warm fundamental character while retaining the short, focused response created by its 12" diameter. The result is a compact snare with a dry, articulate voice that can cut clearly through a mix.

SONIClear Bearing Edge

The SONIClear 45° bearing edge is designed to improve head-to-shell contact, supporting consistent tuning, clear response and a broad usable tuning range.

Air Flow Venting

Three air vents help control airflow through the shell, contributing to the Goblin's quick response and distinctive playing feel.

Sonic Saver Hoops

Mapex Sonic Saver hoops provide a solid playing feel with strong rimshots and cross-sticks while allowing the drum to retain an open and responsive character.

Cylinder Drive Strainer

The BP Cylinder Drive strainer and butt-side adjustment provide smooth operation, with Microlock adjustment allowing precise control over snare-wire tension.
