This Keough Drum Co. ValaTone 14" x 6.5" Hand-Hammered Brass Snare Drum, Brushed Patina is now available at Graham Russell Drums.

Handmade in England, the ValaTone is Keough Drum Co.’s interpretation of the classic brass snare drum, combining traditional craftsmanship with distinctive British design. This particular drum is individually marked as Serial Number 014.

The hand-hammered brass shell produces a lively, projecting sound with a clear attack and plenty of body from its 6.5" depth. Its Brushed Patina finish is created individually by hand, producing unique colours, markings and textures across the shell. No two ValaTone patina drums will look exactly alike.

Keough’s signature Sentinel lugs and Classic 3-Pin Strainer are joined by triple-flanged hoops and Dynamic 20-strand snare wires. Engraved internal lug washers add another carefully considered detail, while a signed maker’s plaque inside the shell records the person responsible for building the drum.

Built individually rather than mass-produced, the ValaTone celebrates the subtle variations and character that come with a genuinely handcrafted instrument. This is a modern British brass snare drum with its roots firmly in tradition.
