Handcrafted in Istanbul from traditional B20 bronze alloy, this crash cymbal belongs to the Turk series, characterised by its completely unlathed surface and raw finish. The cymbal is extensively hand hammered, resulting in a highly complex and controlled tonal profile with minimal high-frequency overtones. The absence of lathing contributes to a drier response and a more focused fundamental tone, while the 20" diameter and thin weight provide a broader spread with increased low-end presence and a slightly slower, more deliberate response.

This crash delivers a dark, dry attack with a controlled, earthy wash that develops quickly but remains contained. The unlathed surface keeps sustain short and overtones tightly managed, producing a distinctly defined and slightly trashy character. Stick articulation is present but subdued, sitting within the body of the cymbal rather than above it. This cymbal is particularly well suited to jazz, experimental, low-volume and studio applications where control, dryness and tonal complexity are required.
