This Istanbul Agop Xist 19″ Dark ION Crash Cymbal is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

The Xist ION series takes the accessible Xist formula, and adds Istanbul Agop's signature symmetrical cut-out holes. Those holes dry the sound out and shorten the decay for a more raw, modern voice, and the bell's character sits slightly separate from the rest of the cymbal for extra tonal variety. As with the wider Xist range, you get genuine made-in-Turkey B20 quality without the price tag of Istanbul Agop's higher-end lines.

The Dark version pushes further than the standard ION Crash, trading some brightness for a darker, drier and more trashy attack with a quicker decay. It stays tight and projects clearly rather than washing out, so it cuts through in a mix while still delivering the fast, controlled explosion the ION range is known for. At 19 inches it has enough body to work as a main crash while remaining quick enough for accents, and it is a natural fit for anyone after a darker, more textured alternative to a standard lathed crash, or wanting to stack it with other Xist and ION pieces for a more percussive sound.
