The Gretsch Full Range 12″ x 5.5″ Birch Snare Drum is a compact and responsive snare designed for drummers who want a sharp, articulate sound with added warmth and control. The drum features an 8-ply birch shell, known for its clear attack, strong projection and focused tonal character. The smaller 12" diameter produces a tighter, more cutting snare voice, while the 5.5" depth helps retain body and sensitivity, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles from pop and funk to modern rock.

The shell is finished with 30-degree bearing edges, a Gretsch hallmark that helps improve head contact for easier tuning and enhanced tonal warmth. The drum is fitted with 2.5 mm steel hoops, offering durability and solid rimshot response while maintaining an open feel. A set of 20-strand snare wires provides balanced sensitivity and crisp snare articulation across a wide dynamic range.
