The Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple 22" Drum Kit, Polar White combines maple’s clear, full tone with a central ply of dense wenge. Drawing on the hybrid shell approach developed for Yamaha’s flagship PHX series, this construction delivers a rich, defined sound that responds to changes in touch, from quieter passages to stronger accents.

Yamaha’s YESS III tom mounting system reduces damping from the mounting hardware, allowing the rack toms to resonate freely. The toms feature 3.0mm aluminium die-cast hoops for a focused attack, while Yamaha’s Hook Lugs make head changes quicker and incorporate an internal locking mechanism to help maintain tuning.

This four-piece configuration pairs a 22" × 14" bass drum with 10" × 7" and 12" × 8" rack toms and a 16" × 15" floor tom. Different bearing-edge profiles are used across the kit: 45° edges on the toms support tonal balance, while the bass drum’s 30° edge encourages a deeper low-end response. The Polar White finish completes a clean, understated appearance.
