This used Sonor Designer Series 20" Maple Light Drum Kit, Blue Sparkle is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Overall Condition: Certainly showing its age, with some marks and scratches throughout, and some chrome pitting in places however most, if not all of this is just wear and tear and for a used kit built in the 90’s, this thing is in great condition. All components are in full working order, smooth and most importantly, all drums sounds absolutely fantastic!

When the Designer arrived Sonor changed direction, moving from heavy shells to thin, focused maple and isolating the hardware from the shell so it could ring more freely. It was also the first Sonor you specified yourself, choosing the wood, the shell weight and the fittings, which is the idea that later became the SQ2. Players rate it among the best-sounding kits ever made, and it stayed the flagship until 2006. Ours is a thin Maple Light shell, the version most people mean when they call a Designer one of the great modern kits.
