Information

The Tama Starclassic 22" Walnut Birch Drum Kit, Piano Black is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Combining the focused attack of birch with the warmth and low-end body of American black walnut, this Starclassic delivers a punchy, full sound with clear definition. The toms feature 6mm shells constructed from four plies of birch and two inner plies of walnut, while the bass drum uses a thicker 8mm construction with five plies of birch and two inner plies of walnut.

The five-piece configuration pairs a 22" x 16" bass drum with 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" rack toms, plus 14" x 12" and 16" x 14" floor toms. This gives you plenty of scope for expressive fills, from the quick response of the smaller rack tom to the depth of the larger floor tom. The Piano Black lacquer finish is complemented by chrome shell hardware for a clean, classic appearance.

Die-cast tom hoops support consistent tuning and a defined attack, while the Star-Cast mounting system allows the rack toms to resonate freely. Two MC69 single tom attachments are included for mounting the rack toms to compatible stands, and Quick-Lock brackets retain your positioning for straightforward setup and packing down. Air-cushioned floor tom feet help preserve sustain, with Evans G2 clear tom batter heads and an EQ4 clear bass drum batter head completing the package.
