This Tama Starclassic 22" Bubinga Drum Kit, African Gloss Cherry is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

First introduced in 2006, Starclassic Bubinga became known for its deep, powerful voice and distinctive dark character, quickly establishing itself as a benchmark in high-end drum design. Now returning as a 2026 limited-edition reissue, this kit is built to faithfully recreate the original concept, using dense African Bubinga to deliver thunderous low-end, immense projection, and a rich tonal depth that is unmistakably Bubinga. To further enhance that low-end response and resonance, the toms and floor toms use deeper shell sizes, while the 22" bass drum is supplied without a tom holder base to maximise vibration and sustain. Finished with a bold Figured African Cherry outer ply and paired with sleek Black Nickel hardware, it offers a striking visual presence to match its powerful sound.
