TAMA STAR RESERVE STAVE JATOBA VOL. 5 SNARE DRUM 

The 5th model of STAR Reserve Snare Drum is made of Jatoba wood. This hard and dense wood is cut precisely into 16 stave pieces and then formed into a 10mm thick shell. In addition, 3 large vent holes are cut into the shell. These holes make the attack more open and projected, and are a great combination with Stave Jatoba’s powerful sound. 28mm vent holes are cut into the shell to open up the attack on this snare, greatly enriching the already powerful sound of the Jatoba stave shell. Die-cast hoops and super sensitive hi-carbon snare wire add sensitivity and enhanced projection, while the Tama tube lugs allow for easy tuning. This drum has gorgeous understated looks with an unexpectedly aggressive sound. It is both sonically deceptive and extraordinarily expressive.

This Tama STAR Reserve Snare is made of Jatoba, an exotic wood from South America which is naturally hard and dense. These physical properties provide the foundation for a look and sound different from any other Tama snare drum. Vent holes are cut into the shell to open up the attack, greatly enriching the Jatoba's already powerful sound.
