The Paiste PSTX 10" Splash Stack is part of Paiste’s PST X series, a line dedicated to creative effect cymbals and stacks designed to expand a drummer’s sound palette. This stack combines a 10" top cymbal with an 8" bottom cymbal, both in thin weight, allowing them to respond quickly and produce sharp, cutting accents. The design creates a dry, short and crunchy sound with a bright attack and very fast decay, making it ideal for modern effect playing.
Tonally the PSTX Splash Stack delivers a bright, trashy character with a narrow frequency range and complex mix, producing quick bursts of sound rather than long sustain. The stack is highly responsive and works particularly well for electronic-influenced music, hip-hop, modern pop, rock and experimental setups, where short, aggressive accents or stacked cymbal textures are required.
