100% Birch 6-Ply Shells
Crafted from 100% birch in a 6-ply construction, these shells deliver focused sound, allowing the drums to respond quickly and project clearly. Rack toms offer a punchy brightness, while the bass drum and floor toms benefit from enhanced low-end fundamentals and added body.

SONIClear™ Bearing Edge
The SONIClear™ Bearing Edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. This results in a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, easier and more consistent tuning, and a significantly expanded tuning range.

SONIClear™ Suspension System
Adapted from the acclaimed Saturn Series, the SONIClear™ Suspension System on the rack toms enhances overall resonance by preserving vibration within the drumheads and shell, while minimizing energy transfer to the hardware.

Insulated Bass Drum Claws
The insulated bass drum claws feature rubber gaskets that protect the hoop from damage and eliminate unwanted rattling or buzzing during extended play.

Matching Snare Drum
The matching snare drum provides a cohesive look to the set while delivering a solid, articulate crack with a strong fundamental tone.

Bass Drum Mounted Tom Holders
Bass drum-mounted tom holders come standard with Mars Birch Series 529 (TH676) and 486 (TH683) shell packs. A single tom arm and clamp—used for mounting the rack tom from a cymbal stand—are standard on the 446 (TH800) shell packs.
