The Istanbul Agop Special Edition 15" Jazz Hi Hat Cymbals are now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Handcrafted in Istanbul from traditional B20 bronze alloy, these hi-hats are part of the Special Edition Jazz series developed in collaboration with Tony Williams. Both cymbals are fully lathed with a traditional finish and extensively hand hammered, resulting in a refined, complex tonal profile with plenty of musical detail. The pairing features a thin top cymbal with a slightly heavier bottom, giving these hi-hats excellent responsiveness and control, while the larger 15" diameter contributes additional warmth, lower-pitched body and a broader spread.

These hi-hats produce a dark, articulate voice with a smooth, controlled wash that sits comfortably beneath the stick definition. The response is soft yet precise, making them particularly effective for intricate patterns and dynamic playing. The chick is rounded and musical rather than sharp, and when opened up they deliver an airy, expressive spread with a natural decay. These hi-hats are exceptionally well suited to jazz, acoustic settings and studio work where tonal nuance and sensitivity are essential.
