The 13th annual Graham Russell Drums Birthday Bash delivered another strong turnout this year, with more than 100 customers entering the in-store raffle and a steady flow of visitors exploring the updated showroom. The event focused on hands-on product testing, direct access to brand specialists and significant improvements across the store layout, all contributing to an enhanced shopping experience for drummers.

A key part of the Birthday Bash each year is the opportunity to speak directly with brand reps, and this event was no exception. Representatives from several leading manufacturers were in attendance throughout the day, helping customers compare specifications, explore new releases and get accurate product advice suited to their playing style and equipment needs.

TAMA: Expanded Event Display
TAMA featured prominently at this year’s Birthday Bash, supported by an extended product display that showcased several of their most popular lines. Launch of the New Zildjian Room
One of the standout developments unveiled during the event was the launch of the new Zildjian Room. Completed in time for the Birthday Bash, this purpose-built cymbal space brings the entire Zildjian cymbal range into one dedicated area for accurate testing and comparison.
Designed to complement the Meinl display installed last year, the new Zildjian Room offers a clear and structured layout, improved acoustics for evaluating tone and a more focused environment for comparing sustain, response and character across the full Zildjian lineup. With both Zildjian and Meinl now housed within their own purpose-designed spaces, the cymbal section of the showroom has seen a significant upgrade.
Showroom Improvements for 2025
This year’s Birthday Bash highlighted the scale of recent improvements across the showroom. Several major display upgrades were completed ahead of the event, including the new Yamaha display wall, the reorganised electronic drum kit room and the expanded Evans drumhead display. These improvements sit alongside the two dedicated cymbal areas, the Zildjian Room launched for the event and the Meinl installation introduced last year. Together, these updates created the strongest and most visually consistent showroom layout the store has had to date. Graham Russell Drums continues to invest heavily in improving the way products are presented, and this year’s upgrades represent the most significant round of enhancements so far.
