This used Sonor SQ2 22" Birch Drum Kit, White Lacquer w/ Red & Blue Racing Stripes is now available with us at Graham Russell Drums.

Condition: Showing little-to-no signs of use, a very unique kit in fantastic condition. Fitted with all original and unused Sonor Clear Medium heads on the toms, a Sonor Clear Power head on the bass drum and a Sonor White Medium on the snare drum.

Precision lacquering is applied to protect the exclusive natural wood finishes or the multiple layers of high quality colour finishes.

Hand polishing ensures a perfect finish of each drum shell and the outstanding looks that are a hallmark of Sonor instruments.

Sonor know their drums will be played by drummers all over the world in a wide variety of musical settings. So they put all their expertise into making the best drums they can. It's just a personal thing.

Drum shells need to act as solid acoustic unities as the foundation for a great drum sound. Sonor use cross-laminated plies to form a perfectly round shell with great stability. Each ply is laminated at a 90° angle to allow for a shell that is tension-free. Sonor's tension-free shells would keep their round shape even if they were cut in half from the batter to resonant side.

Sonor’s OSM shell construction (Optimum Shell Measurement) utilises slightly undersized shell diameters to give the drum head the space to float freely, allowing unrestricted contact between the bearing edge and the drum head.

Sonor SQ2 drum shells feature a 45° bearing edge, designed and introduced by Sonor already in 1975, for maximum resonance and sustain.
